Between the Rocks

 


We react to life without noticing life is reacting to us.

Once there was a monk walking down a mountain. A path he trekked daily. But on this day he noticed a beautiful flower by the roadside, between two stones. By its size, he could guess it had been there for about two weeks. Not once did he notice it in his previous journeys.

From then onwards he always noticed the flower, they were two friends that never talked but always conversed.

The peculiar thing was that it was during a long dry season and never once did he ask himself how it grew.

Over time, he came realise the flower changed daily. Some days it was vibrant, some wilting, some petals closed and some petals open. He wondered why but never once cracked the problem.

One day he just felt blank and the flower was no more. That's when he noticed the flower was always responding to him. He was deciding his perception of reality thus creating it
